An
unique novel concept has been developed by us for the
first time in the country.
This lab comprising of G.I.Manometry system, 24 Hrs pH
graphy, Endoscopy and Barium studies is meant to
evaluate the following commonly prevailing esophageal
problems:
-
Endoscopy Negative
Esophagitis / Early Achalasia
-
Non cardiac chest pain /
Obscure Dysphagia
-
Pre-operative (Anti-Reflux
Surgery) and Post-operative status.
G.I.Manometry
System (Phoenix-Albyn Medical) U.K.
It picks up motility pattern of upper, lower
esophageal and rectal sphincters, esophageal body,
stomach and ampulla of vater.
It has established an important role in
evaluating dysphagia, early achalasia, GERD, non-cardiac
chest pain, constipation, Hirshprung’s disease and
biliary dyskinesia.
24
hours Ambulatory pH Recorder (Biotronic – BT 0910)
Switzerland
It
objectively assesses the esophageal pH quantitatively
over 24 hours. This
facility, first time offered by us in the state is an
useful instrument evaluating GERD, anti-reflux surgery,
Endoscopy negative esophagitis, etc.
